Hi, Typing in English because I do not speak Norwegian well enough 🙂 I do not like subscriptions and I switched from Futurehome to a Homey Pro. This is a hub which connects just like everything, runs locally, so no issue with cloud costs. Also no subscription. It connected all my devices in a few taps and I can make automations between different devices very easily. It all goes via the Homey App. It is sooooo much easier than Home Assistant. And I do not need to code or pay for remote access etc. Works like a charm and can highly recommend it. I got mine directly from their shop (it is a Dutch company btw). Just google Homey.

I was in the exact same spot - had Zigbee and Z-Wave devices all over my house but was tired of juggling different apps to control everything. I tried SmartThings first, then briefly looked at Home Assistant, but that felt like too much work and too complicated for me. Eventually I found Homey and it's been perfect for what I needed. What I love is that it handles Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Matter, Thread and Bluetooth, without the need of extra bridges. I have the Homey Pro and everything shows up in one interface and dashboard. It is easy to create automations between all my devices with their app. My Zigbee motion sensors can trigger my Z-Wave light switches. I had to exclude a few Z-Wave devices from their old hub first, but that's pretty standard. If you want everything in one place without the headache, I would really check out Homey, especially the Homey Pro as it has full local operation. Really depends on whether you want something that just works or enjoy tinkering with every detail.
